About Family Dominion Church
FOUNDER
Dr. Cynthia Morris is the Founder, President and Senior Pastor of Family Dominion Church (FDC). The daughter of a pastor and missionary, she entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ at a very young age.
She has served numerous pastors and local churches in various ministry positions to include prayer team leader, chapel teacher and children's pastor. She has always possessed a heart for families, and it was out of this divine passion that FDC was born on January 26, 2021. Dr. Morris is married to Rennick C. Morris, Jr., her husband of 40 years. They have two children and four grandchildren.
Dr. Morris holds several degrees, which include an earned Ph.D., from The University of Texas at Austin, Master's and Bachelor's degrees from The University of Central Texas, and an Associate Degree from Central Texas College. Dr. Morris is a veteran of the United States Army. She is also a Professor of Psychology. Dr. Morris is called and anointed by the Father God to operate in the office of Pastor and Teacher. She was ordained in December 2001.
FDC History
The ministry originally began as the Building Kingdom Kids Evangelistic Ministry in 1993, and later became Family Dominion Ministries in 2000. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Morris started Family Dominion Church on January 26, 2021.
VISION STATEMENT
God has called and commissioned Family Dominion Church to minister to the whole family. Specifically, to equip families, through the teaching of the Word of God, to take dominion over all the works of the enemy and to walk in their God given Kingdom authority (Genesis 1:26-28).
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible is the inspired and incorruptible Word of God (1Thessalonians 2:13, II Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
The Trinity-God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (I John 5:7; John 15:26).
The Fall of Man and the Need for Redemption (Romans 3:23; 3:10; I John 3:4; Ephesians 2:8).
The New Birth and Eternal Life (John 3:3-5).
Water Baptism (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).
Infilling of The Holy Spirit with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues (Acts 2:4).
The Gifts of the Spirit (I Corinthians 12:1-11).
Divine Healing (Matthew 8:17).
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ and Resurrection of the Just (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:6).
Hell and Eternal Retribution (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20).
